£835 now raised (including Gift Aid)

I have just donated £668 (835 with Gift Aid) to Rugby Young Carers via Warwickshire Carers Project's fundraising website here.

When Gift Aid is added on by the charity, my donation will amount to £741. Thank you to everyone who sponsored me (listed below) and thanks to the local media for publicising my efforts (Rugby Observer, Rugby Advertiser and BBC Coventry & Warwickshire).

I hope my donation will help Rugby's young carers by proving them with a fun trip out. If any businesses or individuals wish to donate any more to help make this a reality, please donate on this website or get in touch.

Thank you!

Rugby Advertiser feature me handing cheque to Rugby Young Carers

In an article here, on Thursday 5 April, the Rugby Advertiser newspaper featured a photo of me handing a cheque for over £700 to Rugby Young Carers.

I would like to thank the paper for publishing this story.

Results are in...

The results of the half marathon are in. I came 41st out of 704 competitors, with a time of 1h33m17s. I'm pleased with that. I hope to hit my £500 target for Rugby Young Carers soon.

My post-run post...

Had a great run this morning at the Emirates Golf Club. I completed the half marathon in approxmately 1hr33m, which I was very happy with. I came 46th out of 900 runners. Here's a pic at the finish line (pre-shower!) Here's a photo of me and my brother Paul, celebating. It was a really well-run race and the route was lovely, taking in some lakes and even abit of sand by the golf course. Being Dubai, the post-run breakast was sumptious, more like a wedding reception. See here. Thanks for sponsoring me!

Early doors

04:54... Up after a bad night's sleep of about 3 hours... Wish me luck!

In Abu Dhabi...

I've arrived in Abu Dhabi now where I'm visiting my brother, who works out here. Off to Dubai later. There's been a sandstorm but I'm told the weather should clear by the race tomorrow.
